| 29th May 2004 - Bands attend local event |
Bathgate was the local setting for the latest performances of the bands today. The
event was uncharacteristically low in attendees, particularly in Grade 1. Despite this
the Grade 1 band performed well and took the top prize on the day.
The Novice Juvenile band earned 8th place in their event whilst the Juveniles were
9th in Grade 3. Finally both Alan and John won their respective Drum Major events.
Finally the band's Drum Majors, John and Alan, came in 4th and 2nd in their
competitions.

Novice Juvenile - 8th Novice Juvenile Grade

| 22nd May 2004 - The sun shines at first
championship |
The bands attended the Scottish Pipe Band Championship at Dumbarton
in unusually hot conditions for May. The Grade 1 band came back to
form with a solid 3rd place in the overall competition, with first
place going to Field Marshal Montgomery of Northern Ireland and second
to Shotts & Dykehead Caledonia. The drum corps were placed second
overall for drumming and also won the best bass section prize.
The Novice Juvenile and Juvenile bands continued with their development
coming in 11th and 6th place in their respective competitions.
Finally the band's Drum Majors, John and Alan, came in 4th and 2nd in their
competitions.

Novice Juvenile - 11th Novice Juvenile Grade

| 8th May 2004 - Season begins at Dunbar |
The Boghall bands started their 2004 campaign at a damp and miserable
Dunbar competition. Despite the incelement weather the Juvenile bands made
great start to the season with 3rd and 4th places for the Novice Juvenile and
Juvenile bands respectively. The Grade 1 band did failed to carry their form
onto the competition field and came in a dissapointing 4th place.
The band's Drum Majors, John and Alan, carried over their form from last year,
both winning their respective competitions.
Grade 1 - 4th in Grade 1
Juvenile - 4th in Juvenile Grade
Novice Juvenile - 3rd in Novice Juvenile Grade
Alan Morton - 1st Juvenile Drum Majors

| 8th May 2004 - Grade 1 appear in new uniforms |
The Boghall Grade 1 band made their first appearance in their new uniforms
at the Dunbar competition today. The band have renewed their kilts, jackets,
waistcoats, sporrans & chains, ties and cap badges - a photo of the band with the new
kit will soon be available here.
The band must thank a variety of organisations for their financial help in
renewing the uniforms. Particular thanks goes to the Scottish Community Foundation, the
Coalfields Regeneration Trust and Peoples-Ford.

| 11th February 2004 - Boghall confirm Glasgow concert |
As reported on the BBC Pipeline radio program on 8th February, we
are pleased to confirm that Boghall will headline the pipe band
concert at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on 11th August 2004.
The annual event, commonly referred to as the Worlds Concert, is
the tenth concert in a series hosted by the Glasgow Skye Association
Pipe Band and has become a regular feature in the build up to the
World Pipe Band Championship.
The band is currently working hard on the material for its first appearance
at the event and are anticipating a great evening's entertainment.
More information will be posted here about the event in the coming

Boghall schedules for Juvenile and N/J bands published. This is subject to National Council
approval of Juvenile band re-grading.

| 25th January 2004 - New 2004 schedule published |
Boghall's schedule for 2004 is published on the website. The schedule
for the Juvenile bands will be confirmed in due course. The schedule
confirms a busy year adhead for the band.
More engagements and significant appearances are expected to be confirmed
in the upcoming weeks including concert appearances and performances
overseas.
